The second annual Wildflower LGA Polar Bear Tournament lived up to its name with freezing temperatures and icy north winds. Sharon Powell initiated the tournament in 2018 to celebrate the New Year. This year, eight teams competed in a 9 hole alternating shot format prevailing over the tough conditions.
The team of Nancy Armstrong and Becky Lucas placed first with a nine-hole score of 31! They received gift bags with a dozen Titlelist golf balls donated by the Pro Shop, warm knit hats, and hand cream.
The team of Robin Anderson and Kristi Frye finished in the final spot and also received Titleist golf balls, UGG’s fuzzy socks and hand cream.
